Swallowtails

Are you tired of butterfly photos yet? I hope not…

This is the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, probably the largest butterfly I’ve ever seen.

Also the hardest to photograph, so far. These photos are from three separate occasions. I’m still trying to get that perfect shot.

This poor guy (or girl?) looked so old. The colors were so faded and washed out, and the wings tattered and torn.

I’d imagine that this butterfly has seen a lot of gardens!

    I love these butterfly shots! I just don’t see many butterflies here in So Cal. I think I need to find a butterfly pavilion or something where I know I’ll see some. Great job.
